Aloha. I am an attorney in Honolulu, Hawaii, and my law practice focuses on employment and labor law litigation, and general civil litigation.
I graduated from U.C. Berkeley, where I was a student-athlete, and I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. I received my Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) from the University of Hawaii, where I was the Executive Editor of the Law Review.
Prior to starting my own practice, I practiced at two large law firms in Hawaii. Between 1995 and 2006, I was an employment and labor lawyer and became a partner/director at a large Honolulu law firm. In 2007 and 2008, I practiced at another large Hawaii law firm as an “Of Counsel” attorney.
In addition to building on my employment/labor law practice, I litigated general civil cases ranging from complex business disputes and class actions to personal injury and real property disputes.
I am on the Employment Law Arbitration Panel for National Arbitration and Mediation and I am an Arbitrator for the State of Hawaii’s Court Annexed Arbitration Program.
I am a “Top Rated Lawyer in Labor and Employment” by American Lawyer Media, the nation’s largest publisher of legal media, including the National Law Journal, the American Lawyer, and Corporate Counsel.
I am also fortunate to be on the exclusive Hawaii Super Lawyers list. No more than 5% of the nation's lawyers are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
